Founded in 2017 by award-winning actor Tony Plana, Seniors in Play (SIP) is a program that utilizes performing arts to develop senior citizens’ well-being and maintain cognitive health with a focus on a playful and social environment where vitality is key.

SIP conducts free classes in 13 locations across San Antonio, Texas. In 2023, we expanded our offerings to include no-cost field trips to ‘live productions’ at local theaters.  Our program has enriched the lives of thousands of seniors and resulted in a flourishing community filled with enthusiastic learning, impassioned performances, and blossoming friendships.
